The Perimenopause Protocol is a functional medicine approach to understanding and balancing hormones during perimenopause. It teaches that symptoms are driven by predictable hormonal shifts—starting with declining progesterone, fluctuating estrogen, and the impact of cortisol and thyroid function. The protocol emphasizes fixing hormones in the correct order: cortisol, blood sugar, thyroid, progesterone, estrogen, then testosterone. It uses comprehensive lab testing (beyond standard panels) and focuses on optimal—not just normal—ranges to identify root causes. It also connects symptoms to specific lab imbalances, allowing for targeted treatment. The program includes a clear action plan with supplements, nutrition, lifestyle changes (sleep, strength training, blood sugar balance), and a 90-day roadmap to restore energy, mood, metabolism, and overall hormone health.
